SUMMER Assistant to the Producer – BCT producer seeks an assistant for Summer. Duties would include assisting in all aspects of operations, including season planning, scheduling, facilitating hiring process and creative processes on production and new works program. Interested candidates should have 5 – 20 hrs availability each week, and strong organizational and inter-personal skills.
Summer Graphic Design Intern! – Boston Children’s Theatre is seeking a summer graphic design intern to work part-time at our Boston studio space. You would be working directly with the Executive Producer and Director of PR to help create designs for print and web advertising, large scale posters, brochures, mailers, production materials and the BCT website. Hours are flexible, please send resume and design samples to above address. Experience with Adobe Design Suite required.
INTERNSHIPS – Creative and Production
Summer 2012 Education Interns - BCT Academy seeks assistant teachers for the BCT Summer Studios. The BCT Summer Studios run late June to early August and include workshops in dramatic play, musical theatre, and acting for students ages 4-16. An ideal candidate would have experience in theatre-education or creative dramatics. Special skills such as musical training, dance, mime, or stage combat are welcome. Design & Production Interns for Summer Studios 2012 – Boston Children’s Theatre is seeking production interns for their 2012 Summer Studios Program. BCT Summer Studio run late June to early August. The Summer Studios Program is a pre-professional program for students ages 9-19. This summer the productions will be Legally Blonde and Miss Saigon.
BCT is hiring interns for design and production experience in multiple areas including: stage management, props, scenic painting, electrics/lighting, scenic construction, house management.
Contract dates vary between June 24 – August 6, 2012.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We are only searching for local applicants. Housing is not available. Our Summer Studios Program is located in Byfield, MA at Governor’s Academy and all staff must be able to get themselves to and from Governor’s Academy on their own at various hours. However, there is a shuttle available that leaves from Boston, please inquire for more details.
