Studio Four is an intensive, pre-professional training program for students interested in pursuing a career in musical theatre. This five-week program includes daily classes in acting, dance, and musical theatre led by experienced educators, master classes by professional Broadway actors, and rehearsals for fully staged musical productions, culminating in final performances.

Each year, we welcome participants from the region, the US and from abroad. For information on applying from a distance – you may use the Audition Form to inquire further. The program remains a day program, meaning that out-of-state or international students are placed with host families for the duration of the program. There’s no better way to learn all about Massachusetts than enjoying it in the summer!

**All students must audition before being accepted into Studio Four. Audition Information

A Summer Intensive

Each morning at Studio Four, students take part in conservatory-style instruction in Acting, Music Theatre and Dance, and each afternoon is spent in rehearsals for either one of the two 2017 productions: Legally Blonde The Musical or Sweeney  Todd. In addition to working in classes and on a production, students take part in a Cabaret, which showcases the many talented performers taking part in the program.

Broadway Master Classes

We’re also very pleased to offer Master Classes with highly accomplished artists. Master Classes offer students the chance to perform for some of Broadways best and brightest. Past Master Class teachers include Megan Hilty, Laura Osnes, Sierra Boggess, Matthew James Thomas, Seth Rudetsky, Lindsay Mendez, and moreEach year, we feature at least three master classes in differing disciplines.

What people are saying…

“I would be nowhere without BCT’s training, support, and guidance. I am a better actor, and more importantly, a better person, because of you. Joining BCT was the most incredible thing that has ever happened to me, and I could not have asked for a more beautiful family to be a part of.”
