6/26 – 6/30: Monkeying Around! Come join us for a week of monkey fun! Children will make monkey costumes, sing monkey songs and act out some favorite monkey stories: Caps For Sale, Curious George, and Goodnight Gorilla!
7/10 – 7/14: Under the Sea! Journey under the sea and meet Rainbow Fish and Swimmy, while building A House For Hermit Crab. Students will work together to create an ocean habitat and retell these undersea tales.
7/17 – 7/21: Pirates and Princesses, Mermaids and Mermen! Ahoy, matie! Put on an eye patch, slip on a mermaid tail, or try on a princess crown. Children will have fun acting out How I Became a Pirate, Pirate Princesses and The Little Mermaid.
7/24 – 7/28: The Colorful World of Eric Carle! Enter the world of beloved children’s author Eric Carle as you bring some of his most famous stories to life, including The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Mixed Up Chameleon, and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See.
7/31 – 8/4: Fairy Tale Adventures! Experience the magic when you’re favorite storybook characters cross paths as you explore the classic tales of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Little Red Riding Hood, and The Three Little Pigs.
8/7 – 8/11: Fun in the Barnyard! The barnyard is full of fun! Cows that type, a hen that outsmarts a fox, and dancing animals! Children will retell the following stories using costumes and props: Click, Clack, Moo Cows That Type, The Little Red Hen and Barnyard Dance.
NEW in 2017! Extended day will be offered for Studio One. 3pm – 5:30pm, $125/week – Extended day activities allow for a later pick-up time for your student. Activities will include light theatre games, time outside (weather permitting), movies on rainy days, and more.
6/26 – 6/30: Fairy Tale Theater Students will explore the magical world of fairy tales through acting, singing, dancing and creating original costumes. Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, The Big Bad Wolf, Peter Pan and Cinderella all come together in this week of crazy mixed up fairy tales!
7/10 – 7/14: Detective Drama Whodunnit? Be a detective, a villain, a spy or a suspect – you decide. Create clues and get ready to shine while creating an original detective drama.
7/17 – 7/21: Broadway Cabaret! Do you like to sing? Act? Dance? Then this is the week for you! Every day we will learn a new Broadway song complete with choreography and costumes. At the end of the week we will perform a Broadway review!
7/24 – 7/28: Destination Disney Disney will be our inspiration this week! We will act out scenes and songs from favorite Disney shows: The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and The Jungle Book. Students will create original costumes and scenery for the end of the week production.
7/31 – 8/4: The Lorax Help the Lorax save the Truffula Trees as we bring the classic Dr. Seuss book off the page and onto the stage.
8/7 – 8/11: Summer Adventures Imagination and adventure are abound as students will bring the classic Where the Wild Things Are to life.
